Dean’s Message
Due to the acceleration of scientific, technological, and socio-cultural developments, the age we live in is coined by terms such as ‘’information’’, ‘’postmodernn’’,post-industrial’’, and ‘’informatics’’ ages. Communication processes constitute the basic economic, political, scientific, and cultural framework of the local and national community, global, human relations. The concept of communication and its technological foundations has infused to every aspect of our lives and the arteries of the world by rapidly transforming the central dynamics that it undertakes. In today’s world, being exempt from communication is idiosyncratic. The vast diversity of areas such as language, photograph, and visual design; content creation with sound and video; programming and coding; the efficiency between interpersonal communications, convincing and rhetorics; marketing and advertising; social media management; public relations; political communication in public space; mass communication management and economics, developing informatics systems and interface design, which studies of communication can be attuned to, make the dissemination of communication studies with its pragmatic, semantic and aesthetic components, a necessary act.
Based on the strategic value, gained by the concept of communication, Manisa Celal Bayar University has begun to conduct fundamental studies to initiate a Faculty of Communication within its organizational structure.
